3. Cost savings - Ready QC lab and trained expertise will cut off your set up costs and save time to put methods and procedures in place.
4. Resource management - Ease of ramp up or down of resources depending on testing requirements
5. Decreased downtime - The variation of public holidays and off days will give advantage of utilizing the downtime.
How do you manage bugs?
We Document
We Communicate
We Track
We Measure
We Improve Continuously
This is Aspire's methodology for defects management. Aspire team documents the defects using the most effective defect tracking tools. These tools are web based and enable our clients to view the defects database anytime from anywhere. These defects are closely tracked for status changes. Once fixed and released to the testing environment, they undergo strict regression tests, which can be broadened to a full module regression.
What platforms and browsers do you test?
We have a combination of PCs (Pentium IV) and MAC's configured with various different operating systems and browser versions.
How does the process work with your location in Jordan?
Aspire team pays special attention to client communication, timings and project deadlines. The process starts with scope definition on the client site, defining the client team and contact persons. The client will appoint at least 1 internal manager/contact person responsible for co-ordination with the offshore QC team manager. Our team then starts the project here in Jordan based on the requirements that have been gathered early in the user requirements stage.
We schedule rigorous client check-points and we deliver a daily detailed status report. Add to that, our team deals with web-based tools where the client has full access to view the status of the bugs, update and review, generate reports, and give recommendations.
What is the average time a testing project requires?
As a rule of thumb and based on our experience in running testing projects, the average time of testing should not be less than 25% of the overall project time. This percentage wiil vary depending on the project size, complexity and change requests.
Can you guarantee a 100% bug free application after you have completed testing?
There is no 100% bug free software, but if you pay attention to your software testing, you can guarantee that your software is free of high severity bugs and showstoppers.
Usability bugs are always there, this is the reason why maintenance projects, which require continuous testing, will always be running after project completion and sign off.
What is Ad Hoc testing and where does it fit?
A creative, informal software test that is not based on formal test plans or test cases; we make sure that Aspire testers have significant understanding of the software before testing it.
Ad hoc testing finds a place during the entire testing cycle. Early in the project, ad hoc testing provides breadth to testers' understanding of the program, thus aiding in discovery. In the middle of a project, the data obtained helps set priorities and schedules. As a project near s the release date, we use ad hoc testing to examine defect fixes more rigorously.
